Autumnal Colours: The best ever?

The colours of autumn all around my little patch are just quite stunning this year.

Come rain or shine the colours are a delight to the senses.

After  a deluge all night, there was mist rolling in from the river beyond,

coming and going like waves on the shore.

The show went on for several hours.

  1. Beautiful images once more, Paula. But the one that really grabs me is the top one – and being up there I imagine it really grabs you too. But what is it about this image? For me its that mostly brown hillside sloping off to the left with what may be a huge oak in the hedgerow; and then the soft mist – looking like water with milk in it – coming over in quite a well defined bank, so that bits of the scene are clearly seen, bits are dimly seen, and there’s really quite a hard border between the two; and then there’s the milky blue sky above. And then there are the birds, which are simply the icing on the cake. Quite honestly, I’m green with envy. A 🙂
