Autumn: Harvesting and Producing Cider
Cider Making in the Traditional Way for the last time.
Here in the South West of the UK growers are producing Cider for next year.
A local farmer, for many years, has gone through this process the traditional way;
pressing the apples in an old, dark barn, everything labouriously worked by hand.
The new building is light and airy and the whole process mechanised.
The light in this old barn came from the ceiling entrance and open door only!
Below an impression of the cider making process in the traditional, old fashioned manner.
