That is really a storm. Beautifully captured.The question, of course, is whether it’s the gods or Mother Nature that has been rattled…

The sea can be so unpredictable… Wonderfully captured, Paula. And here’s a quote;
“We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.”
(Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods)

Ahhh…I can see why you have trouble seeing the stars! Haha — that’s quite an image!
I must ask: Do you see that object in the upper left corner of the frame? (sitting on the cliff) What is that? The mysterious structure provides a nice layer of depth…and intrigue.

Lack of stars..ha, ha..yes I cannot see anything sitting on the cliff, you do not mean the ‘beacon’ of the end of the wall? Or the tree on top of the cliff…yea..that is what it must be.??

Is that a tree? It looks like a building inspired by old Japanese architecture…but it’s probably just a tree! Haha
(The object I’m referring to is above the beacon — all the way toward the top right corner of the frame. The object is silhouetted against a gray sky)
My friend….I had a look on the large master file..and you are right, you got eyes like a hawk..it is indeed a house and not a tree. Ha. ha. but as far as I can make out, not in Pagoda style. xx

Stunning and truly outstanding, Paula. The stormy sea is of course centre stage, and added to by that lit spray and looming black headland in the background. But the image is also hugely added to by the muted colours of those beached boats and the two, storm-tossed gulls aloft. This is frameable, a real work of art. Adrian
