The streetlamp illuminated the smoke and it looks quite eerie — I wouldn’t have expected the smoke to be seen that clearly.

Photographing in Totnes at 11.30pm – not sure I’ve ever photographed anywhere at 11.30pm! Except large animals from Kenyan safari lodges. Very intrepid, I admire you for that. And Totnes must be wonderful photographically, especially for people. This is a wonderful shot, right in there with the action – just like being there, it transports me. xxx
