Mamma Mia
An esteemed woman in many people’s lives;
My late mother’s birthday reminded me of this:
Whilst roaming the streets of Sao Paulo, with camera,
an elderly woman beckoned me, gave me tea and serenaded me,
a complete stranger, with wonderful melodic songs whilst playing the guitar.
She was 87 years old, lived alone. Conversing was difficult as the language barrier struck.

87 years old musician, serenading me , a complete stranger, in her kitchen
Life is greatly enriched by such encounters, such moments…

Is it wonderful with all those unexpected encounters we experience? Even when there is a language barrier, each encounter gives us a profound feeling of connectivity. You captured this lady with honesty and respect. A beautiful portrait.

It’s so tender! I love her face and the efect in the hands. I could listen the sound of the guitar. Absolutely lovely!
