I sell collectibles and art online and often find the things I've found have hilarious and at times, dark stories to tell. It's thrilling for me to be creatively random, so always expect the unexpected in the things I share with you.

I love the color of the tones you’ve you chosen, Paula, and your composition. Sad to see these great old buildings wasting away.

I love the angle of your photo. It appears as if the smoke stack has pierced the sky and punctured through the clouds.

On the positive side, decay makes for a fabulous photo opportunity and you know how to take advantage of that 🙂

Such a visual strong photo. I like the deep tones and the split toning.

Love the toning you’ve used here! It greatly enhances the derelict effect.

Me too, nice colour choice for the tone. It works with the industrial subject.

Thank you, sounds nice, but not quite sure what is meant by ‘amazon’? forgive me..I a foreigner, what can you expect! Googled it but did not get a lot better informed . I know about amazon women of course, but doubt that is what is meant in this instance. Please, I am intrigued!

Ha, ha, thank you for your explanation of the interesting use of the unusual adjective ‘amazon’…It might just start a trend, I shall try it out soon!! I thought it very suited in this case as that chimney is worthy of being called ‘amazon’!

I wonder why people stopped doing the pools? It was so popular years ago, strange, cos everyone still loves football, so why no pools?

Later Littlewoods became a retailer I believe, probably other better shops started up. Littlewoods sold the business, you can find it all on the internet. The building is stunning, more posts about it will trickle by .
