The Piper
The sound of the bagpipes
Reminded the old man of his regiment.
His Regiment; few were fortunate to survive.

Bagpipe player set off a string of memories.

I sell collectibles and art online and often find the things I've found have hilarious and at times, dark stories to tell. It's thrilling for me to be creatively random, so always expect the unexpected in the things I share with you.

An old soldier (I guess) listen to the Piper. A poignant image Paula, If only we knew the story, but we can imagine it, and that’s what makes this image so powerful.

Yes, very moving. Its very difficult to imagine what being a soldier in war must be like, but the memories must be vast.

As I watch the Ken Burn’s documentary of the “The War”, this photo becomes tactile and real.
