Fashionable finches! I never have seen a finch with a red face. Nice composure. The finches around here tend to be yellow and black.

Yes, the American goldfinch…a beauty too, is different from the European variety! I just LOVE your Red Cardinal and the painted lady…you have such stunning wildlife and so much more approachable that those living in the UK

Well I’m charmed! 🙂 that’s such a great photogrpah, with two perched so perfectly and another in flight, and the frozen teasels alone would have been enough!

Words fail me, Paula – truly superb and beautiful! And not only have you caught the flying bird perfectly – blurred wing tips, sharp body – but the wing tip to wing tip orientation of that bird marries up very nicely with the orientations of the plant stems. Simply superb photography. A xxx
