Unwanted

Discarded

Redundant

Abandoned

Left-behind

Perfectly lucid , many old folk feel this way:…discarded.

  1. Useful is a well oiled mind
I am sorry to say it takes more
To oil ones my aT times, than
    Its sometimes worth,especially
When there are those who have
An opinion on how to,if its,all the same I don’t want to be the lone chair in the room,I rather be in the room looking at the chair

  2. The picture says it all, and I very much agree with you – families have become less coherent than they were, modern life has become much more busy and demanding, and many old people do not receive the family/social contact that they once did. I feel this myself, even though I am not yet 70. But – if I’m to be honest – I have no real yearning to feel or to be thought of as useful – to me, and I know that we’re all different, feeling useful is not something I aspire to; I suppose I’m happy just to be, after many years of being very busy (and hence I suppose, useful), I’m happy now just to do my own thing. • Oh lucid, well, yes, I’m still that – lol! although with bouts of absent mindedness, and also vastly pleasant mistiness occasioned by top quality Belgian beer! But yes, I know what you mean about being discarded, I do get that feeling. Its a great pity you didn’t come up to Clevedon. Take good care of yourself. A 🙂

I sell collectibles and art online and often find the things I've found have hilarious and at times, dark stories to tell. It's thrilling for me to be creatively random, so always expect the unexpected in the things I share with you.
