Male Bullfinch

Amazing I had camera in hand

when this little bird suddenly arrived,

giving me time to focus and push the trigger

before it swiftly departed,  leaving me breathless with happiness .

  1. Absolutely stunning, my friend. Not only is this one of my favourite UK birds but I love the composition here – the fence and its associated plants sweeping across the foreground, and then all those blurred highlights arcing up around the top of the frame – and in between the blurred, refreshing greens – could easily live with this on my wall. A 🙂
